6 SIMPLE STEPS TO UNWIND AND TAKE THINGS EASY

If anyone tells you they experienced absolutely no stress during the planning stage of their wedding day, it’s because they have probably deleted all the stressful parts from their minds, and since they had such an amazing time during their I DOS the anxiety has completely waned off the picture. To be honest, a little stress is totally NORMAL. It’s a sign of a healthy mind. And quite expected too!

You are investing so much time and resources, you have to manage guests, orders, go scouting, realize a concept and so much more… But sometimes the little adds up into a lot, and planning your celebration feels more overwhelming than joyous. Giving up is never the answer, so if you wish to actually enjoy the process and make the most of your wedding celebration, these 6 simple steps will help.

1. Talk With Your Partner

Before you dive right into the planning process, take all your thoughts down and chat with your beloved to hear their side of things. Your talk should include the dates, the destination, the size of your event, the approximate number of guests and your budget (from the least to the maximum).

This way you will stir clear from any kind of confilct. Then make sure you know where you both stand on the involvement of your families, and once you are firm on what you both want, repeat the talk with them.

2. Enlist the Pros

Having a team of experts on your side, no matter what the size or location of your wedding , is a wedding saver. Look for professionals who share your values, esthetics, and ideas, and are also experienced with your chosen location.

Certainly they will have their trusted sources and partners, so look up who these too are and whether their style aligns with your vision. Once you jump into conversation with them, you’ll feel a significant amount of the weight getting lifted off your shoulders.

3. Assign Duties

Your friends, your mom, your sisters, or anyone else whose presence you value will be more than happy to assist, so that you don’t do everything on your own.

Don’t hesitate to delegate simple or more elaborate tasks, from being in charge of your family group photography list, to helping you gather gifts, prep your bridal suite for photos, or run any last minute errands. They might even help you find a pre-wedding dress stylist or give you “been there, done that” advice.

4. Switch to the “Fun” Gear

You definitely want your guests to have fun at your wedding, but you must remember to have fun as well. Put this to practice by hosting a quizz night with your besties.

Ask them to name your fave things and turn these to cocktail names, favors, or experiences. The endless stamp-a-thon on your wedding invites can be a perfect opportunity for a girls’ party. The same goes for any little chore you feel you need a helping hand with.

And while your planners are working hard for the big stuff, the small ones will stress you much less.

5. Celebrate Every Little Victory

Not all planning decisions and tasks are interesting. But once written off your list, you so deserve a little Victory dance and a reward to yourself. Finalized the seating plans or the transportation means?

Take a break from planning and treat yourself to long, languid luncheon in your fave restaurant, a SPA day with your beloved or a mini-break for the weekend.

May we take it a step further? Surprise your beloved with an engagement moon trip to Italy! (We promise to help out).

6. Create a Plan B

Sometimes life happens when you’re busy making other plans, and that’s TOTALLY Fine! You may not be able to have control over certain things, such as say… the weather, or the traffic jam on a Statale (it happens) but if you are ready to embrace what’s in store , whatever the situation, with a calm disposition, an open and flexible cheer, there’s always a solution!

As your wedding planners will always come prepared with a Plan-B and a Plan-C if necessary, you’re guaranteed to have peace of mind!

See you on the planning side,

Laura & Marianna
